10 July, 2014 Melinda + Casey | Dallas Lesbian Engagement
I’m a sucker for a good proposal story. I mean, who isn’t?! These girls sure do have a good one. Their proposal involved Key West, a sailboat at sunset, a ferry ride to a private island & a dinner surrounded by tiki torches and palm trees. Straight out of a movie, right?
During the proposal Melinda had Casey’s favorite song playing in the background at sunset as the other 15 people on a sailboat watched with anticipation when Melinda handed Casey a red rose. The red rose is significant because she had sent Casey a dozen red roses exactly 1 year ago that day and told her that she wouldn’t give her another red rose until the day she asked Casey to marry her. Casey saw the rose and the sparkling diamond ring and immediately began to cry. Once she said yes the whole crowd went wild with cheers. Melinda said “It was such an incredible feeling. To have complete support from strangers. I just couldn’t believe this moment was happening for me. I had finally found the one. I had stayed true to who I was all through my coming out and I had found the one other person in life that would encourage my journey in life and whom would show me love like I had never imagined. She’s it! So let the next chapter begin!” I am so happy to know these girls and I can’t wait to see what kind of plans they come up with for their wedding! If I could’ve photographed one proposal it would have been this one! Here are a few images of the happy couple in Dallas. To view more Dallas Lesbian Engagement images click HERE
