14 January, 2015 The Special Event 2015 Photography
Good evening folks! I am sitting here at my studio sipping wine & editing like a crazy person after about a month of back-to-back travel. Have to hit it hard before I get back on the road! Last week I was in Los Angeles, CA for an insanely stunning event called the Special Event 2015. The Special Event is the world’s premier conference and tradeshow for the top decision makers and trendsetters in the event planning industry. There are around 4,000 people who attend this event. Extravagant booths everywhere. Decor that looked like it was straight out of a magazine and the freshest flowers you will ever smell. I walked in and felt like I was 3 years old again and it was my first time at Disneyland…which is funny because I could see Disneyland from my hotel window and I could also see my middle school. It was awesome to sit on my balcony looking out at all of this getting sappy about how far I’d come on this journey. It’s moments like this where I take a deep breath and am extra thankful that I took that freakishly scary leap to quit my job and leave all things familiar to start my own business. I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else right now. So back to the good stuff…
They flew me out to photograph 3 epic events. The Wedding Event, the Search Event and the Leadership Luncheon. I attended some educational sessions and met people who have made a huge impact within the event planning industry. I am so thankful for my client, Penton…this year will be my 3rd year working with this incredible team. Take a look below to see my view from these events.
