Hi! My name is Steph Grant, Owner of Steph Grant Studios and Founder of the Promote Love Movement (a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community raised in religious environments to connect). It’s so rewarding to have strangers from around the world say that they felt like they had a front row seat at the LGBTQ+ weddings that I have photographed. Even more meaningful is hearing that after seeing my LGBTQ+ images and stories they can no longer support their stance against the LGBTQ+ community. Sharing our stories can change minds and softens hearts.
``If you’re looking for kindness, professionalism, and just an all around fun person to be next to you during special moments... it’s Steph Grant or no one for me.``

AMANDA + LINDS // LOS ANGELES, CA
We’ve had the pleasure of working with Steph numerous times throughout the last few years. From lifestyle shoots, to couples, to events..., Steph is the real deal. Not only do we have the highest appreciation for her, but she captures the most incredible moments.. It is obvious that she is incredibly talented, but what sets her apart from the rest is that she’s fun to work with. She enjoys the day and the moment along with you, putting you at ease, making you laugh, bringing out the very best in you. She has captured some of our favorite memories that we’ll now have forever.
COURT + SUZY // SAN FRANCISCO, CA
I will just start off by saying, weddings are stressful! Especially destination weddings. But, prior to the Marriage Equality Act, we had no choice. Picking a destination, outfits, hair and make-up, hotel accommodations, etc, these were all tough decisions. But, picking our photographer was the first decision we made and it was a no brainer. Steph and I have been friends for almost a decade, and I have been lucky enough to witness (and be a part of) her evolution into one of the most sought after LGBT photographers in the world! Whether you’ve known her for years, or just met her, she will instantly become one of your favorite people. Our wedding started at City Hall and we ended up in a random forest with the Golden Gate Bridge behind us, because, well we took an Uber and went on an adventure. That is Steph Grant- humorous, creative, loyal, adventurous, spontaneous, professional, and ridiculously talented. We were lucky to have her document our day and even luckier still to have her be a part of our lives ❤️.
RANDI & KENDALL // DRIPPING SPRINGS, TX
Steph Grant is not only one hell of a photographer, but she is one of our very best friends. I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with capturing the most important day of my life. She knows us as more than clients. She felt organic there. Steph takes the time to make you forget that she has a camera. You feel like you’ve been having mimosas with your buddy, you look up, and she has captured you in your most raw and fantastic moments. So much talent. Such a genuine person. She is the best of the best.
CHANTEL + REBECCA // LURAY, VA
It was really important to us to have a photographer who understood queer relationships and would be able to capture our love on camera. For such a special day in our lives, we wanted the best of the best, and according to her reviews, she was just that. We immediately connected through phone calls and later Skype chats, and we felt at ease knowing we had someone so experienced. One thing you don’t realize until after the wedding is how much time you actually spend with your photographer. Not only do the photos matter, but the photographer’s personality matters as well. Steph spent the entire weekend with us – meeting our friends and family and fitting in perfectly. We came out of our wedding experience not only with photos but also with a new and wonderful friend. Choosing Steph to capture our wedding was one of the best decisions we made.
SALLYE + ALE // SAN FRANCISCO, CA
We chose Steph because she’s an amazing human. She has a wonderful eye for delicate moments. Her photography speaks for itself. She doesn’t just take a beautiful picture, she captures the emotion and people within the photograph. We also tremendously value how real and authentic she is. Steph is not only a pleasure, but she’s the best.
TAYLOR + MINDY // JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA
We both had been following Steph on IG. When we got engayged, we both immediately wanted her. She’s so hot rn. But honestly, her photography style is the perfect blend of modern and elegant. She truly is able to capture moments in a raw, real way. It’s not that easy to find that in a photographer these days. She is also so genuine, it’s hard not to want to work with her!
When I dream of perfect elopements I think of being smack dab in the middle of the mountains surrounded by the tallest trees and thick snowflakes that get stuck on my eyelashes. You can imagine how thrilled I was in December when Kate & Lauren invited me to adventure with them to Aspen, CO. Little did we know on their wedding day we would get the most magical snow. Safe to say more of my snowy queer elopement dreams are right her in this blog post for your viewing pleasure.
Tell us a little bit about what you both spend a majority of your time doing:Hey we're Lacey and Sarah! We've been together a little over one year. We currently live in Dallas, and spend the majority of the time practicing social distancing. We love going to open-air concerts and comedy shows outdoors. This is the most lesbian thing I've ever typed, and I know...
That first night we met, I stopped by Emily's house with them for a moment and saw where they lived. It was a cute bungalow in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood of Austin, TX. Their home had become run down and they had a roommate at the time ... but about two years later, Emily and I moved into an apartment together while that very home would undergo heavy renovations.
IVF was a long and daunting process, but having the right doctor really makes the world of difference. Be aware that the costs are high but the price is absolutely worth it for our family. My wife has now endured almost 1,000 needles in her a$$ and I am impressed with her commitment and her perseverance every day (I know I could never do it!). We’ve spoken with our doctor and so far, our embryos and family planning are not affected, but I can tell you it is scary in general to be a pregnant woman in Texas right now.

Hey we're Haley & Hannah! We live in Austin, Texas with our puppy, Rye, and our cat, Oliver. We enjoy spending time outdoors - here in Austin at the Greenbelt and Lake Travis. We love trying new restaurants, seeing live music, and traveling the world. It's important to explore and create meaningful experiences in life!
Welcome to my blog debut! I’m Josh, the Studio Manager for Steph Grant Studios, which means I’m the one you spoke with if you’ve emailed us lately. I happen to have a personal connection to these two, so Steph asked me to jump in and...
Commitment. Commitment encompasses many more than 3 things in making a relationship last. Being in our 30s, Alex and I have been in various relationships while continuing to discover who we are. Over time, you know more and more what you're looking for in your match, and what you're not. The mutuality of our love reminds us time and time again that we know we finally found ours. If you know the level of commitment is mutual, your groundwork is established, and you have established the foundation you know will be there no matter what. It is unconditional.
We have been together 9 years. Married 5. Steph has captured our save the date/ engagement pics, wedding, impromptu pregnancy pics with Finn, and now our 2nd baby announcement. It was only fitting that while Steph was over for Thai food and champagne I snuck off to take a pregnancy test and low and behold while she was in my living room telling stories I secretly discovered I was pregnant with my second kiddo. All good things happen with Thai food and bubbles.
WHERE DO YOU TWO LIVE? Hi! We’re Sarah & Jacqui! We live in the middle of nowhere. No, really though – it’s kinda crazy that we were born on opposite sides of Iowa, met smack dab in the middle in Des Moines, and then moved...
We met just over two years ago and I hope we stay together many, many more. I'm a Dallas local, designer, and photo/videographer who has been in Austin for 5 years. I never embedded myself in the queer community outside of attending protests – including Queerbomb, my favorite over Pride. Though I used to be heavily involved in groups and small community efforts, these days I spend more of my time one-on-one with locals. One of the things I most enjoy is chatting with a stranger – anyone from a bartend

We're Liss & Britt! This summer, we are celebrating our FIFTEENTH (!!) anniversary. In that time, we’ve lived (both together and long-distance) in Austin, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, Davidson (NC), and now here in Denton. We’re both artists (Liss is a visual artist and Britt’s a musician) and minimalists who try to keep things simple but fun. When we’re not at home with our 13-year-old rescue Chihuahua, Delilah, we spend most of our time outside chasing sunshine & good coffee.
It's easy to make our social media accounts look like sweet, happy and in love couples ALL THE FREAKING TIME. Truth be told that's just not real life. Divorce happens often and it's challenging to discuss. So let's talk about it.
Dallas Pride was a couple of weekends ago. I photographed a few friends and a handful of beautiful strangers celebrating Pride by the rainbow crosswalks in the Dallas Gayborhood. Here are a few favorites, a long overdue reintroduction and a little about me.
What are your plans for #DallasPride this weekend? Here are some of mine if you want to join in person or virtually! I'm offering free portraits at the rainbow crosswalk in the Dallas gayborhood for my Black Queer & Trans friends.
I think that sharing the stories of our transgender friends is so crucial not just today but every single day but we also need to educate ourselves and put in the work to make our world more inclusive. Learning proper language is one of the...

We're Sarah & Carlea. We've been together 3 and a half years and live in an apartment with our two puppies in the Dallas area. Sarah spends her time slaying hair and Carlea is a full time Speech Language Pathology student at University of Texas at Dallas. In between school days Carlea also works at Baylor Rehab as a Patient Service Specialist. When we aren't working you will see us either buying decor for the apartment or vegging out and decompressing together.
What in the heck is a micro wedding? According to Brides.com a micro wedding is an intimate affair, typically with no more than 50 guests. My kind of wedding. As most of you know, I no longer photograph large weddings (my talented team does). I prefer those intimate weddings. Micro weddings allow me to spend more time with my couples and be more involved in the planning process.
Memes of Bernie Sanders have been make rounds and making my day. Decided to create a few of my own where Bernie decides to drop in on a few of my couples. These gave me a good chuckle. Which ones is your favorite? PS: I...
We met at Round-Up Saloon, a country-western gay bar and dancehall in Dallas' Gayborhood, Oak Lawn. Before we met, there were multiple occasions where we were supposed to be in the same place at the same time. That night was the perfect time for our paths to have crossed and neither of us would have had it any other way.
Truth be told, elopements are my ultimate favorite for many reasons but here are my top 3 reasons: 1. Your personalities can’t help but stand out in each photograph when you are LESS STRESSED! I’d say that most people aren’t super comfortable with a camera...
